Central Peninsula Hospital (CPH) is a Kenai Peninsula Borough (KPB) owned 49-bed not-for-profit acute care community hospital. As the first Planetree affiliated hospital in Alaska, CPH seeks to support and heal in all dimensions- body, mind and spirit. CPH provides a wide range of inpatient, outpatient, and community services. Heritage Place, a long-term residential care facility located one block from the hospital, is home to around 60 residents. Serenity House is a 12-bed residential treatment facility. The Kenai Health Center provides outpatient laboratory and radiology services in the community of Kenai, 11 miles away. Two outpatient physical therapy locations serve patients in both Kenai and Soldotna. Central Peninsula Family Practice provides primary medical care to families throughout our community
For more than 30 years, Central Peninsula Hospital has enjoyed a reputation for providing quality health care to our community, which encompasses a service area of over 25,600 square miles. This reputation is maintained by our staff of more than 600 qualified employees. We all, regardless of position, are responsible for ensuring the most positive experience possible for our patients, visitors and staff.
Central Emergency Services which covers approximately 2,200 square miles, provides Fire Protection, Emergency Medical Services, and Rescue for approximately 22,000 residents of the Greater Soldotna Area of the Central Kenai Peninsula Borough in Alaska.
Central Emergency Services is a combination department consisting of 27 Full time, and 32 on-call (part time) employees. Central Emergency Services provides 24 hour staffing at three of the four stations it operates. This is covered by three rotating 24-hour platoons.
Central Emergency Services operates four Fire Engines, three Tankers, two Rescue Trucks, one Ladder Truck, two Rescue Boats, three Utility/Brush vehicles, four command vehicles, four ACLS ambulances, and one reserve ambulance.
Central Emergency Services is a Kenai Peninsula Borough Fire Service Area. The Borough Assembly manages the Department through a Service Area elected advisory board. CES provides fire protection to its area residences at an ISO Class 3,7, which remains among the lowest in Alaska.
