Spark Soldotna

Spark Soldotna is an exciting, annual *Shark Tank*-inspired event that brings together the most innovative and entrepreneurial minds in the Soldotna, Alaska, community. Local entrepreneurs compete for a $4,000 business grant, providing a significant boost for small businesses looking to grow and thrive in the region. This competition not only celebrates creativity and innovation but also serves as a powerful tool for economic development in Soldotna and the Greater Alaska area.

Each year, the event culminates in an exciting evening where the finalists, known as Spark Finalists, present their unique business ideas in front of a panel of esteemed judges, called the Spark Sharks. These judges, who are often successful business leaders from the local community, evaluate each pitch based on creativity, feasibility, and growth potential.

Each applicant-presenter will have ten minutes to pitch to the Sharks and the live audience, followed by up to 10 minutes of Q&A. The winner will receive a $4000* business grant to advance their product or service (*the winner receives $3,800 and a Soldotna Chamber membership worth $200). The pressure is on, as the Spark Sharks will ultimately decide who walks away with the coveted $4,000 grant. While the Sharks deliberate, attendees can vote to choose their favorite Finalist. The Audience Favorite will win a prize, too.
