Exit Glacier: Take a nice scenic drive out to Exit Glacier in Seward.
Anchor Memorial: View the Anchor Memorial in front of the Harbormaster’s office in Seward, honoring those who perished in the big earthquake of 1964.
Native Culture: Visit the K’Beq’ Kenaitze Interpretive Site in Copper Landing.
Russian River Falls: Trail Hike the 2.6 mile trail takes you to the viewing platform for the falls, which is a good place to view jumping salmon and maybe a brown bear.
Bear Lake: See the salmon at the Cook Inlet Aquaculture Fish Weir.
Iditarod National Historic Trail: “Mile 0” of the Iditarod National Historic Trail is located near the main entrance to the Sea Life Center, the trail was recently selected as one of 16 Millennium Trails nation wide. For a unique experience tour a local Iditarod racer’s working sled dog kennel and see first hand the huskies enthusiasm for mushing during a thrilling two mile wilderness dog sled ride.
